Lower Dolpo Trek

This trek takes place in the north – west region of Nepal , the Lower parts of Dolpo district. It has been specifically designed for those who do not have much time but are willing trek in the remotest parts of Nepal . This area being on of the remotest and least exposed areas of Nepal, naturally isolated by the difficult topography still offers opportunity to meet the people and their lifestyle in a very authentic from almost untouched and unexplored . Visit to the Shey-Phoskindo National Park and the tarap Valley are the most interesting and lively places that are enough to overwhelm us with the authenticity such a lifestyle completely uninfluenced by the modernization . As this trek penetrates in the lower Dolpo, it does not require any special permit and royalty as such.

Highlight of the Trek

Since the terrain can be hard and the days long, hikers on these treks should be in good physical condition and have some previous mountain walking experience. But It does not require any technical experience. Steep climbing may be involved, although it is never necessary to use ropes.

Day to day itinerary

Day 01: Your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport(TIA) and you will be meet our airport representative then transfer to hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu - Nepalgunj, fly 1 hr
Day 03: Nepalgunj - Jumla (2370m), fly 40 mins
Day 04: Jumla - Gothi Chaur (2780m), 6 hrs
Day 05: Gothi Chaur - Naphukana (2990m), 6 hrs
Day 06: Naphukana - Chaurikot (3070m), 6 hrs
Day 07: Chaurikot - Hurikot (3760m), 6 hrs
Day 08: Hurikot - Gorphug (3950m), 5 hrs
Day 09: Gorphug - Kagmara Phedi (4240m), 4 hrs
Day 10: Kagmara Phedi - Kagmara pass (5120m) - Yudon (4400m), 7hrs
Day 11: Yudon - Rigmo (3540m), 6 hrs
Day 12: Rest day at Rigmo, explore the "Shey Phokshundo lake"
Day 13: Rigmo - Bagala phedi (4450m), 5 hrs
Day 14: Bagala phedi - Bagala Pass (5190m) - Numla B.C. (4500m), 6 hrs
Day 15: Numla B.C. – Numla Pass (5149m) - Dhotarap (4030m), 6 hrs
Day 16: Dhotarap - Rigo Phucave (3490m), 7 hrs
Day 17: Rigo Phucave - Lahini (3200m), 6 hrs
Day 18: Lahini - Khani gaon (2950m), 6.5 hrs
Day 19: Khani gaon - Dunai ( 2150m), 7 hrs
Day 20: Dunai - Juphal (2440m), 5 hrs
Day 21: Juphal - Nepalgunj, fly 30 mins, Nepalgunj - Kathmandu, fly 1 hr
