Start your journey to Tibet with a spectacular flight over the snow capped Himalayan Mountains Mt Kanchenjunga (8586m), Mt Everest (8848m) Mt Makalu (8463m) and others, Spending 3 nights in Lhasa, staying right in the centre of the old city. This will allow us plenty of time for acclimatization and easy access to the city's main attractions – including Jokhang Temple and the monumental Potala palace of Kings and Dalai Lamas, with its various chapels along with unforgettable roof top views of the holy city.

Leaving Lhasa in our 4 wheel drive, we'll travel through this amazing country, staying in the best traditional hotels Tibet has to offer. Thoroughly exploring the towns of Gyantse and Shigatse we visit traditional monasteries and fully immerse ourselves in the Buddhist culture.

Along the Highway we travel through some of the most amazing landscapes on Earth. We pass small Tibetan settlements, nomadic herdsmen wandering across the wide arid plains and awe-inspiring mountain peaks. Equally as fascinating is the wealth of cultural interest and there is plenty of opportunity to explore this side of Tibet, both in Lhasa and the other towns we pass through on our journey back to Kathmandu.

Day to day itinerary

Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1345meters).
There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02- Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley.
Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning after breakfast. We provide a private vehicle and professional tour guide. Places we visit are Pasupatinath temple, Buddhanath, Monkey temple, Bhaktpur durbar square and Kathmandu durbar square. The afternoon includes a final briefing and preparations for the tour. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03- Entry Lhasa.
Be met & transferred to airport, take the flight to Lhasa Transfers from the airport to the hotel.
Arriving at Lhasa Gongar Airport , be met and transferred to your hotel. Take a rest to acclimatize yourself to the high latitude.

Day 04- (B, L ) Lhasa Visit Potala Palace , Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street
The Potala Palace: Perched upon the Marpo Ri Hill, 130 meters above the Lhasa valley, it is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet. We kindly suggest you take taxi to the top of the palace which costs about 10 and then walk down after your visiting.
The Jokhang Temple: The Jokhang is the most celebrated temple in Tibet. Because the temple is not controlled by a particular sect of Tibetan Buddhism it attracts adherents of all the sects as well as followers of Bon-Po, Tibet's indigenous religion.
Barkhor Street: The Barkhor is the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the center of old Lhasa and remains very traditional. It is a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts are assembled.

Day 05- (B, L, ) Lhasa Visit Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery,Norbulingka and Tibetan Family.
The Drepung Monastery: It is one of the biggest monasteries in .
The Norbulingka Park : Norbulingka means " Jeweled Garden ". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served as the whole governmental administration.
The Tibetan Family: Common Tibetan people welcome you to their homes, greet you in their traditional way and entertain you with their typical food.

Day 06-(B, L, ) Lhasa Drive Via Yangbachen to Namtso Lake and visit them. Afternoon back to Lhasa.
The Namtso Lake: Nam Co means Heaven Lake or Scared Lake in Tibetan.At the juncture of Damxung County and Nagqu Prefecture,it is 4,718 meters above sea level.Being 700 kilometers from east to west and 30 kilometers from south to north.
Yangbachen : it is famous for its hot spring and is a nice choice for those who want to get a close look at the tibetan herders (drokpa) and their semi-nomadic lifestyle.

Day 07- (B, ) Lhasa To Chengdu or other city. Depart from Lhasa.
