Start your journey to Tibet with a spectacular flight over the snow capped Himalayan Mountains Mt Kanchenjunga (8586m), Mt Everest (8848m) Mt Makalu (8463m) and others, Spending 3 nights in Lhasa, staying right in the centre of the old city. This will allow us plenty of time for acclimatization and easy access to the city's main attractions – including Jokhang Temple and the monumental Potala palace of Kings and Dalai Lamas, with its various chapels along with unforgettable roof top views of the holy city.

Leaving Lhasa in our 4 wheel drive, we'll travel through this amazing country, staying in the best traditional hotels Tibet has to offer. Thoroughly exploring the towns of Gyantse and Shigatse we visit traditional monasteries and fully immerse ourselves in the Buddhist culture.

Along the Highway we travel through some of the most amazing landscapes on Earth. We pass small Tibetan settlements, nomadic herdsmen wandering across the wide arid plains and awe-inspiring mountain peaks. Equally as fascinating is the wealth of cultural interest and there is plenty of opportunity to explore this side of Tibet, both in Lhasa and the other towns we pass through on our journey back to Kathmandu.
 

Day to day itineray


Day 01- ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU AIRPORT (1345meters).
There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02-SIGHTSEEING AROUND KATHMANDU VALLEY.
Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning after breakfast. We provide a private vehicle and professional tour guide. Places we visit are Pasupatinath temple, Buddhanath, Monkey temple, Bhaktpur durbar square and Kathmandu durbar square. The afternoon includes a final briefing and preparations for the trek. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03- FLY FROM KATHMANDU TO LHASA (3660meters).
Early morning transfer to the international airport for the hour-long flight to Lhasa. This stunning flight, on a China Southwest Airlines Boeing 757, takes us right across the main Himalayan range and provides us with magnificent mountain views. After landing at Gongar Airport and meeting our Tibetan guide, it is a further 2-hour drive by Land cruiser to Lhasa. It's advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa's altitude. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04- SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA.
We spend today visiting several of Lhasa's many monasteries in the company of a guide and interpreter. One of these is the Sera Monastery, one of the best-preserved monasteries in Tibet, within its whitewashed walls and golden roofs, several hundred monks live and study. After lunch we'll visit the Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, as well as the Jokhang Temple. This temple is possibly the most sacred shrine in Tibet and there is always a procession of devout Tibetans through the complex. Surrounding the Jokhang is the Barkor - a maze of narrow cobbled streets that is the central market of Lhasa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05- SECOND DAY OF SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA.
In the morning, we visit Potala Palace which dominates the city of Lhasa it’s a spectacular building, containing private quarters of the Dalai Lama as well as numerous grand state rooms and many important chapels. There has been a Palace on this site since the 5th or 6th century, but the present Palace was constructed in the 17th century. After lunch, we visit the Drepung Monastery, which was founded in the 14th century and was once the largest in the world, with a population of around 10,000 monks. These days that figure is down to several hundred, but there is still much here of interest as it was left relatively unscathed during the Cultural Revolution. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 LHASA-GYANTSE:(259 KMS)
Drive to Gyantse crossing the Kamba La (4794m) & Koro La Pass (5010m). via the Lake Yamddrok Tso. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 GYANTSE-SHIGATSE (3900M-90 KMS)
Morning: Visit the Khumbhum Supa & Phalkor Monastery at Gyantse. Embark on a pleasant 2 hrs, drive to Shigatse. Afternoon: Sightseeing tours of the Tashilumpo Monastery and the free Tibetan market. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08 SHIGATSE-XEGAR (3900M-244 KMS)
Drive over to approx. 8 hrs to Xegar. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 09 XEGAR- RONGPHU (4920M-60 KMS)
Drive over rocky terrain on 4WD by Land Cruiser to the village of Dza Rangphu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: EVEREST BASE CAMP EXCURSION (5090M)
A 2 hrs trek from the Tongbuk Monastery will lead you to the base camp of the highest peak on earth. The north face of Mount Everest (8848m) or Mt. Quomolangma in Tibetan. Explore the Base Camp and the Tangphu Glacier. Retreat to lodge. Later in the afternoon, return to tingri (approx. 96 kmss/3hrs). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11 TINGRI-NYALUM (3750m-214 kms)
Drive downhill to Nyalam crossing two spectacular passes- The Lalung La (5082m) & Nyalam (3800m). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 12 NYALAM-KATHMANDU (1200M-123 KMS)
Drive downhill to Zhangmu and to the Friendship Bridge where transportation awaits for the groups for final journey to Kathmandu.
Day 13- LEISURE DAY IN KATHMANDU
Leisure day in Kathmandu , If you are interested in continuing onto Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure, Kathmandu Shopping Tour or Scenic Everest Flight.
Day 14- TRANSFER TO YOUR FINAL FLIGLHT DEPARTURE.
The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.

TEMPERATURE & CLOTHING
Tibet will have it's average temperature between 5-20 degree Celsius in the month of April through October. During trekking season, the night temperature in the mountain often falls below freezing. Therefore, you are required to have adequate warm clothes to save from extreme cold. Further, it will be better to dress in layers that can be easily put on & off as required. It is often advisable to carry raincoat because snow or rain can also occur sometimes.

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES RECOMMENDED:-
Thermal underwear, woolen or silk long sleeve tops & bottoms
Woolen shirts, pullover, pants, socks, hat, gloves & scarves
Down jacket or wind breaker
Good walking boots or shoes
Sun hat, sun glass, suntan lotion, torch light, pen knife
Medicine for common colds, headache, diarrhea & diamox against altitude sickness.


HEALTH
It is necessary to be physically fit & healthy for the participate on Tibet tour. Even if, there is no particular age limit guideline, child below 8 years or elderly people exceeding 70 years or more are not advisable to take participation. Doctor's medical certificate is essential for trip participation. Further more, those who are sufferer of high blood pressure, heart problem or diabetic are not recommending for tour.

INSURANCE
It is most advisable all clients to have full insurance against medical and person accident risk, natural calamities, political instability, etc.
